Hillcrest Farmhouse is located just 100m off both the Kerry Way and the Ring of Kerry Cycle Route. The road to Lord Brandon's Cottage also passes the front gate of the guesthouse.
The family-run business is approved by Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Farm Holiday Association. All bedrooms are ensuite, have a tv, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair-dryer.
Walkers on the Kerry Way can pre-order an evening meal, a packed lunch and arrange to have luggage transferred onto the next accommodation. A drying room is also available for those with wet gear and boots.
Non-residents are welcome to drop by for tea, coffee and scones.
Guests wishing to stay a second night can explore the area around Black Valley in addition to the Upper Lake in the Killarney National Park, Carrauntoohil and the famous Gap of Dunloe. In addition to maps of the area, the Tangneys have a good general knowledge of the Kerry Way.
