Southern Sun is a Fáilte Ireland approved bed and breakfast on the edge of Cahersiveen. The house is on the Ring of Kerry and is within 500m of both the Kerry Way Walking Trail and the Ring of Kerry Cycle Route.
All of the bedrooms are ensuite with shower and the televisions have free-to-air satellite stations. Guests can make tea and coffee in the dining room.
Hikers on the Kerry Way can be collected from the trail at Foilmore by advance arrangement. Walkers can also get clothes washed and dried. Bags can be delivered to the next accommodation on the trail. Packed lunches must be ordered in advance.
Guests staying for a second night in the area can rent a bicycle in Cahersiveen and cycle to Port Magee and Valentia Island. Alternatively, there is a duck boat tour to Valentia Island and a trip to the Skelligs can also be arranged through Southern Sun.
