Coomassig View is located on the outskirts of Sneem where the 'Kerry Way' and 'Ring of Kerry Cycle Trail' meet before entering the village. There are panoramic views of an expansive mountain range to the north of the house.
The bed and breakfast is approved by Fáilte Ireland. Hostess, Maureen Murphy, was nominated in 2006 for the Fáilte Ireland 'Irish Welcome Awards'. All the bedrooms in the house are ensuite with a shower. There is also a television in each room. Guests can help themselves to tea/coffee in the dining room.
Evening meals can be secured in Sneem which is only a 5-minute walk away. Extra-weary Kerry Way Hikers can get a lift in for free. They can also get their luggage transferred to their following accommodation on the trail. Packed lunches can be prepared given some advance notice.
Walkers who want to stay for a second day at Coomassig View can walk the Lomonagh Loop Walk which takes around 3 hours. The trail passes by the back of the house and goes up the Slievenasaska Mountain. Alternatively, there is also the Fermoyle Loop Walk which takes 4-5 hours.
