An Glaisín Bed and Breakfast is situated on the 'Ring of Kerry', outside the village of Sneem, in Tahilla, on the way to Kenmare. The house is set on several acres of land with horse stables to the rear and landscaped gardens to the front.
The bed and breakfast has three ensuite bedrooms, all of which have showers. There is a television in each of the rooms. Tea and coffee are served on arrival at the house. Guests can have an evening meal in Sneem where there is a selection of restaurants.
Guests at An Glaisín are welcome to use the garden, to sit and relax by the pond or help to feed the chickens. In return, there will be fresh eggs from the garden in the morning for breakfast!
Those walking the Kerry Way will find that covering the extra 4.5km from Sneem will help reduce the distance on the following day for what would be the longest section of the trail between Sneem and Kenmare at 30km.
An Glaisín can help deliver luggage on to the next accommodation on the trail and also provide a packed lunch for walkers. Anyone wanting fresh clothes can ask about the in-house laundry service.
Guests wishing to spend an extra day in the area can explore some of the loop walks around Sneem. There is a 12-hole golf course close-by at Parknasilla. Rods and tackle are available for those who would like to go salmon fishing. It is also possible to go horse-riding locally.
