Currane Lodge is located outside of Waterville in a tranquil area surrounded by farmland. The house has uninterrupted views across Lough Curran, over Church Island, and on to a distant panoramic backdrop of formidable mountains.
The bed and breakfast is approved by Fáilte Ireland. All bedrooms are ensuite with showers, two of these include wet-rooms. The television in each bedroom has Sky News in addition to the Irish national stations. There are also Tea and coffee making facilities.
There is a wide and varied breakfast menu each morning, with each course cooked fresh upon order. All dietry requirements all catered for with given notice. Evening meals can be arranged for groups of six or more. Packed lunches can also be ordered.
Kerry Way Walkers can be collected for free from Waterville, or from the trail, with advance notice. A luggage transfer to the next accommodation in Caherdaniel can also be arranged. A printed weather forecast is left out for guests each evening.
Currane Lodge has the best location in Waterville for hikers who wish to walk the 'inland section' of the Kerry Way across Windy Gap to Caherdaniel.
Guests looking to spend longer in the area can rent a boat and go fishing on Lough Currane. The lake is popular with anglers fishing for sea-trout and salmon.
