Templenoe is located on the Ring of Kerry, just a few kilometers outside of Kenmare. The village is spread out along 1km of road and adjoins Greenan, where a post office can be found opposite the church. One of the big tourist attractions for the area is the 18-hole Ring of Kerry Golf Course.
Pat Spillane's Pub is the other focal point in Templenoe. Many people stop at the pub to see the collection of silverware that the family have won in Gaelic Football. Pat is renowned as being one of the greatest living legends in Gaelic Football, having won eight All-Ireland medals during his time representing Kerry in the 1970's and 80's. In addition to silverware on display, there is also food served at the pub during the summer months.
