The Olde Forge is on the 'Ring of Kerry Cycle Route' and near the Kerry Way trail. The house looks across the Kenmare Bay to the Beara Peninsula. The sea-shore is just a 3-minute walk away.

The bed and breakfast is approved by Fáilte Ireland and been awarded 3 stars. All bedrooms have an ensuite with a shower. There is also a tv in each room. Tea and coffee are available for guests to make in the dining room.

Guests are welcome to sit and relax in the garden. On fine mornings, breakfast can be served outside so the sea views can be fully enjoyed. Evening meals can be provided with enough advance notice. Alternatively, the 'Blind Piper' in Caherdaniel or the 'Beach Bar' at O'Carrolls Cove serve dinner.

Walkers on the Kerry Way can be collected from Caherdaniel by prior agreement. A packed lunch can be provided for the trail. Luggage can also be transported to the next accommodation.

Visitors who want to learn more about Irish history can visit Derrynane House and Gardens. It is here that the iconic Irish political figure, Daniel O'Connell, once lived. Derrynane National Park also has 120 hectares suitable for strolling around.
