Fuchsia House is a family-run guest house that is located on the Kerry Way, between the centre of Killarney and the Muckross Demense in Killarney National Park. The house is set back from the road and has a screen of trees to provide plenty of privacy.

This is a Fáilte Ireland approved guest house that has been awarded four stars. There are ten spacious bedrooms, all of which have an ensuite with a bath/shower. Each bedroom has a large flatscreen TV and Wi-Fi is available to guests for free.

The kitchenette on the first floor allows guests to help themselves to tea, coffee and biscuits. There is additional seating available downstairs in the guest lounge, conservatory and outside on the patio, which all provide plenty of space to relax and have a chat.

With enough prior notice, walkers can order a packed lunch for the morning and arrange to have their luggage transferred to the next accommodation on the trail. Those who intend to come back to Fuchsia House after completing the Kerry Way are welcome to store their excess baggage here, for the duration of the walk.

An alternative start to the Kerry Way for walkers to consider is taking a boat trip up through the Killarney Lakes as far as Lord Brandon's Cottage in Black Valley. Boats leave from outside Ross Castle each morning, which is a 15-minute walk from Fuchsia House. This option means that the 15km section from Killarney to Galway's Bridge does not have to be walked twice.
